Hebron Burial ground is located in Bedminster Bristol. Here is a map of the area
The good news is Bristol City Council now owns Hebron burial ground.
Thank you very much everyone for your help and support. More news coming soon. The Friends of Hebron Burial ground group was set up in October 2002 to prevent inappropriate development of the burial ground, following the conversion of Hebron Methodist Church into residential accommodation. The burial ground has been left in a neglected state by the owners for a number of years, contrary to the restrictive covenants of the land registration. A number of the Friends and others who have relatives buried on the site were not prepared sit back and let developers ruin the site for future generations.
In November 2002 the burial ground was sold – the new owner has plans for what we consider to be inappropriate development. The burial ground lies within a Conservation Area; is adjacent to a listed building (the former church); is of historical interest; is an open green space and is also the burial place of Mary Wilcocks aka Mary Baker aka Princess Caraboo
